Lewes' Parks and Beaches Guide

Lewes boasts a wide variety of parks that will please everyone's neeed to have fun and "just get away from it all." The beaches are pristine, so much so that Lewes has been awarded "Blue Wave' awards several times. Gentle surf and relaxing breezes make this the ideal family beach. Lewes is a walking and biking town. Parks are outfitted with bike racks to accommodate the growing number of people staying young and healthy on their bikes. Be sure to walk or ride the Historic Lewes Greenway and Maritime Trails in Lewes.

Music abounds in our parks. Each year, nearly 20 concerts featuring all types of music are hosted in Stango Park, adjacent to the Lewes Public Library. Hundreds gather in this tree-sheltered park to hear some of the finest bands in the region perform their specialty music. Just bring a chair or blanket and sit beneath the great oak and elm trees. Concerts are free and open to the public.

Using the Parks

Lewes' parks and beaches are available for special occasions such as weddings, family picnics, barbeques, etc. For those who wish to use the parks, stop by or call City Hall and pick up an event request form. Please observe that all parks are alcohol and tobacco free.
