- Kids Cottage was founded primarily to fill the need in Sussex County for a drop-in childcare center, where parents can drop their children off so that they have some time to themselves. We developed Kids Cottage because our area was lacking a multipurpose environment that meets the needs for all children and their families. Our ultimate goal at Kids Cottage is to provide a social and activity hub for families in the area.
Kids Cottage is an interactive destination designed for either drop-in or parent supervised visits. We also offer exceptional learning environments, including an innovative pre-school, engaging enrichment programs, monthly classes, and lots of memorable experiences for children.
The center not only offers an exciting alternative to babysitting, we offer a safe, clean and high-quality environment to play, learn and develop social skills. We strongly believe that all children can learn, despite their disabilities or weaknesses. At Kids Cottage the play and learning activities are designed to reinforce Howard Gardner's theory of multiple intelligences. Also, close links are made with Delaware's early learning foundations for school success.
We are a locally owned and operated corporation designed and committed to provide a cutting-edge facility where children can express their creativity through play. Kids Cottage will continually strive to be the leading environment for children and their families.
